作为一家全渠道零售商,沃尔玛宣布从2018年2月1日起将公司法定名称由“沃尔玛百货公司 (Wal-Mart Stores, Inc.)”变更为“沃尔玛公司(Walmart Inc.)”。本次变更公司法定名称,表明了沃尔玛越来越重视为顾客提供无缝连接的零售服务,以满足顾客多种购物方式,包括在门店、网上、移动设备上购物,或是以门店取货和接受送货上门的方式购物。

As an omni-channel retailer, Walmart announced plans to change the company’s legal name from Wal-Mart Stores, Inc. to Walmart Inc. effective Feb. 1, 2018. The name change chiefly demonstrates the company’s growing emphasis on serving customers seamlessly however they want to shop: in stores, online, on their mobile device, or through pickup and delivery.

Currently, Walmart operates different formats and banners in China including Walmart store and Sam’s Club. Walmart now has been operating over 400 retail units covering more than 170 cities nationwide; as well as running 22 distribution centers. Walmart China’s omni-channel retail strategy focuses on customer experience to offer customers and members easier shopping solutions anytime, anywhere in the way they like through accelerated digitalization and scale-up of retail innovation and integration of stores, clubs with multiple ecommerce channels. Walmart is committed to local talent development and diversity, especially the cultivation and full utilization of female staff and executives. 99.9% of Walmart China associates are Chinese nationals. 沃尔玛中国里程碑 | Milestones of Walmart China

2020年12月,山姆宣布自有品牌Member’s Mark全面升级,对总共约700种商品中的250种做了全新升级,未来山姆还将根据会员的生活方式不断优化,计划在2021年完成所有Member’s Mark商品的全面升级,真正让会员感受到“更好的生活尽在山姆”。

In December 2020, Sam’s Club announced to upgrade its private brand Member’s Mark. Sam’s Club has about 700 items under Member’s Mark, 250 of which were upgraded with optimized ingredient, packaging and prices in 2020. Sam’s Club will continue optimize it items based on members’ lifestyle. All items under Member’s Mark are expected to be upgraded by the end of 2021 to make members truly experience “Life’s better in the club”.

2020年8月,全国所有沃尔玛门店均实现为周边3至5公里的消费者提供1小时“极速达”送货到家服务,全国沃尔玛门店均已设立全品类拣货区,大大提高了拣货效率。

As of August 2020, all Walmart stores nationwide have launched one-hour delivery service to a radius of 3-5 kilometers around the stores and all Walmart stores have set up a separated full assortment picking area, which greatly improved the picking efficiency.

2020年7月,山姆1小时“极速达”服务覆盖所有有山姆门店的城市。

As of July 2020, one-hour delivery service has covered all the cities where Sam’s Club operates.

2020年4月8日,沃尔玛中国宣布,未来五年将在武汉投资30亿元人民币,计划新开设4家山姆会员商店、超过15家沃尔玛门店,加大武汉社区服务型产业布局,为当地零售市场注入新活力,更好地为武汉顾客和会员服务。

On April 8, 2020, Walmart China announced to invest RMB 3 billion to open 4 new Sam’s Clubs and more than 15 Walmart stores in Wuhan in the following five years to expand services to communities, inject vitality into the local retail market and provide better services to customers and members in Wuhan.

2020年3月25日,山姆会员商店宣布,将在上海开设旗舰店,预计2021年内开业,这也是山姆在上海的第三家店。旗舰店坐落于上海自贸试验区外高桥新发展园区,30分钟车程可达浦东的全部核心区域和浦西的五角场、新江湾城等片区。这将是山姆在国内运营的最大独栋建筑,建筑总体量约70,000平方米,提供一个舒适、便捷和安全的空间,包含国内单层面积最大的山姆店,以及涵盖了餐饮、娱乐、生活及教育等领域的服务区域,以满足会员全方位的高品质服务需求,此外,还将提供一个可容纳1100多个会员专享停车位的智能停车场。

On March 25, 2020, Sam’s Club announced that its opening a flagship outlet in Shanghai, China, and is expected to open in 2021. It will be the 3rd outlet Sam’s Club operates in the city. Located in Waigaoqiao Xin Development Park, Shanghai Pilot Free Trade Zone, the flagship outlet is 30-minute drive from core area of Pudong District, and Wujiaochang and Xinjiangwan area in Puxi. Spread across 70,000sqm, it will be the largest independent building operated by Sam’s Club, offering a comfortable, convenient and safe environment. The building will include a Sam’s Club, which will be the largest single floored Sam’s outlet in China, a selection of service facilities ranging from eatery, entertainment, to lifestyle and education and combined under one roof to offer a high quality one-stop solutions for its members. To make this even more appealing it will have 1100 parking slots are available for our members only.

2020年2月, “沃尔玛到家”服务升级迭代,推出到店自提服务。截至2020年底,已在全国370多家门店开通。每天早9点至下午3点期间在“沃尔玛到家”下单时,顾客可在最快1小时内小时内前往就近的沃尔玛门店提取商品。

In February 2020, WMDJ launched customer self pickup service and over 370 Walmart stores nationwide offered store pickup service by October 2020. From 9AM to 3PM every day, customers may place orders online and pick up within 1 hour at fastest in store for free..

2019年9月16日,沃尔玛宣布将深度差异化商品策略,首次官方在全渠道推出快时尚自有品牌“George”。“George”品牌起源于英国,拥有近30年的历史。本次沃尔玛以满足中国顾客穿着理念和生活方式为出发点,将“George”品牌引入中国市场,并实现全渠道同步发售。“George”品牌期待通过时尚的设计、出众的品质、实惠的价格,为中国顾客提供服饰穿搭、家居家纺、餐厨用具等商品,让他们的生活变得更加时尚和舒适。

On September 16, 2019, Walmart officially announced to launch its fast fashion private brand George via omni-channels, to deepen its strategy of providing customers with differentiated products. George was from the U.K. and has been developing for nearly 30 years. With the introduction of George into the Chinese market via omni-channels, Walmart aims to satisfy Chinese customers’ demands in dressing and lifestyles. ‘George’ brand expects to provide Chinese customers with apparel, home, kitchen items with fashionable design, outstanding quality and affordable prices, to make their lives become more fashionable and comfortable.

2019年7月1日,沃尔玛宣布将继续加大在物流供应链的投资,未来十年计划在中国增投约80亿元升级物流供应链,将在全国新建或升级10余家物流配送中心,以发展全渠道建设及更好地满足中国顾客对新鲜商品和便捷服务的需求。

On July 1, 2019, Walmart China announced that it would increase its investment in its supply-chain logistics. The company plans to increase investment in its supply-chain logistics in China by RMB 8 billion, or about $1.2 billion, building or upgrading more than 10 logistics distribution centers over the next ten years, in order to enable its omni-channel development, continue to provide Chinese customers with great fresh products, and improve its service.

2019年6月25日,沃尔玛中国与中国连锁经营协会在北京联合举办2019全国食品安全宣传周追溯体系建设研讨会,同时正式启动沃尔玛中国区块链可追溯平台。顾客通过扫描商品上的二维码,可以了解到商品供应源头及沃尔玛接收的地理位置信息、物流过程时间、产品检测报告等详细信息。

On June 25, 2019, Walmart China and CCFA held 2019 National Food Safety publicity and Traceability System construction in Beijing, at the same time, Walmart China launched its own block chain traceability platform. Through easily scan the QR code, customers can get the product information including the source of commodity supply, logistics process and time, commodity inspection report and other detail information.

2019年3月,沃尔玛中国首个按照国际领先标准定制化设计建造的配送中心——华南生鲜配送中心投入使用,该项目超过7亿元人民币,是沃尔玛进入中国23年以来最大单笔投资。华南沃尔玛华南生鲜配送中心是目前国内零售行业最大的多温区生鲜配送中心,库区建筑面积约33700㎡,可同时处理超过4000种需冷藏、冷冻或恒温存储的商品,服务沃尔玛在广东和广西的100多家门店,日处理能力最高可达16.5万箱。

In March 2019, Walmart opened its first built-to-suit distribution center in China — Walmart South China Fresh Food Distribution Center. It is built according to leading international standard. This 700 million yuan perishable distribution center in South China is the largest single investment in Walmart’s 23-year history in the country. At 33,700 square meters, it is the largest, multi-temperature perishable distribution center in the domestic retail industry that can store and process more than 4,000 kinds of temperature-regulated, refrigerated or frozen goods simultaneously. It serves more than 100 Walmart stores in Guangdong and Guangxi, with daily distributing capacity of up to 165,000 cases of products.

2019年1月,沃尔玛中国正式启动Omega 8项目,一个与中国初创企业共同快速成长的创新平台。依托Omega 8, 沃尔玛中国将与更多创新创业型企业合作,探索前沿科技在零售行业的应用,为解决零售痛点提供技术解决方案,从而更好地服务顾客。Omega 8自推出以来已经开展50余个项目的概念验证测试,并且已有5个项目在全国沃尔玛门店,山姆会员商店及配送中心落地推广。

Walmart China formally launched Omega 8 in January 2019, an innovation platform that jointly developed with Chinese startups. Walmart China will cooperate with more innovation startups to explore the application of cutting-edge technology in retail industry by leveraging Omega 8 to provide technology solutions to address the pain points in retail so as to better serve customers. Over 50 POC have been carried out since the launch of Omega 8, and 5 among them have been rolled out in stores, clubs and DCs nationwide. .

In 2019, the new generation club was launched. Interaction areas such as wine taste, Sam’s Kitchen and event area were added to create ‘Sam’s shopping experience’, where each member of the family can spend quality time. Meanwhile, new item categories were added to further strengthen Sam’s member value: optical center provides high-end glasses at competitive prices and complimentary eyesight checkup; hearing aid center offers quality aural devices and complimentary checkup; and gift cards with exclusive price. The new generation club serves to enhance member loyalty and hence strengthens omni-channel development.

Walmart officially launched its next-generation store, representing its future omni-channel development, in Shengbang Street, Hi-tech New Zone, Chengdu in December 2018. This newly opened store is nearly 50% smaller than regular stores with increased rental area of about 4000 square meters. Nearly 80 carefully selected brands featuring catering and community service are provided which is complementary with the store. To address evolving consumption trends and changes brought about by retail digitization, the next-generation store featuring fresh, value and easy will provide customers an even easier shopping experience through considerate design and carefully selected products.

2018年,山姆会员商店推出“卓越会籍”,首次对会籍进行分级,进一步突显了其为目标人群提供差异化商品及服务的战略。卓越会籍在普通会籍基础上增加了多种权益 – 如2%消费积分返券(每月封顶500元)、全年12张app免邮券等。该举措是山姆入华20多年来在会籍业务方面的一个重要里程碑,反映了国民对高品质消费需求的日益强烈,也预示着中国零售业正加速进入精准化和差异化。2019年10月,山姆会员商店推出卓越会籍“省钱无忧计划”,即卓越会员若全年累计节省金额小于升级费用,差额部分可抵扣次年卓越会员续费费用。这一创新举措相当于让会员可以先升级为卓越会员,享受所有权益,体现了山姆不断提升会员价值的承诺。

In 2018, Sam’s Club launched “Premium Membership”, segmenting its membership structure for the first time. The segmentation strengthens Sam’s Club’s strategy of providing differentiated products and service for targeted members. Besides existing membership benefits, “Premium Membership” offers extra services such as 2% points rebate (maximum 500 Yuan monthly), 12 free delivery vouchers for shopping on Sam’s Club App, etc. The segmentation is an important milestone in Sam’s membership service along its 23-year China presence. It also indicates people’s increasingly strong demands for high quality consumption and suggests that China’s retail industry is entering into an era of precision and differentiation. In October 2019, Sam’s Club launched ‘Save with Premium Membership” program. If the amount of savings is less than the amount of upgrading to Premium Member, the discrepancy can be deducted from the renewal fee for the next year. This allows our members to enjoy all the Premium Member benefits without extra cost and demonstrates Sam’s commitment to continuously providing members great products and high member value.

2018年10月,沃尔玛中国与网龙网络控股有限公司在福州签署战略合作,推出沃尔玛中国首个全渠道零售移动学习社区“沃课堂”为员工提供场景化、多元化、游戏化的移动学习方式,帮助一线员工和总部及区域员工随时随地提升适应智能零售的新技能。“沃课堂”上线不到一个月已获得超过8万名用户,日均活跃用户超过30%。

Walmart China and NetDragon Websoft Inc. reached strategic cooperation in Fuzhou in October, 2018 and launched Walmart China’s first omni-channel retail mobile learning community W. Learn. Walmart provides diversified ways of learning for associates with various scenes and games through mobile learning mode which is more favored by Chinese associates to help associates at front line, headquarters and regions to improve new skills of intelligent retail anytime and anywhere. W. Learn has attracted more than 80,000 users since its launch less than a month with the daily average active users exceeding 30%. In the future, Walmart will apply innovative technologies and products to corporate training and learning sector by leveraging the leading technologies of NetDragon.

2018年8月,沃尔玛宣布对达达-京东到家增加大约3.2亿美元的投资。沃尔玛曾于2016年10月对达达-京东到家投资5000万美元,新的投资是双方商业合作协议的延伸,进一步强化沃尔玛在中国的全渠道服务。

Walmart announced in August 2018 that it has increased its strategic investment in Dada-JD Daojia by about US$320 million. The move followed a $50 million investment in Dada-JD Daojia in October 2016 and further strengthened Walmart’s online and offline omni-channel strategy in China.

2018年6月,沃尔玛中国与腾讯共同宣布正式结成深度战略合作关系,双方充分发挥在各自产业的优势,重点围绕购物体验提升、精准市场营销、全面支付服务、强大会籍增值等多个领域开展深入的数字化和智慧化零售合作,共同探讨和开发零售行业全消费场景应用的升级,打造未来数字化零售的发展蓝图与行业标杆。

Walmart China and Tencent jointly announced in June 2018 that they have reached an in-depth partnership. The two companies fully leveraged their advantages in corresponding industries and carried out in-depth partnership on digital and smart retail in multiple areas focused on improving shopping experience, accurate marketing, comprehensive payment service, enhancing added value of membership and so on. They explored and drove upgrade of application of all consumption scenarios in retail as they created a development blueprint and industry benchmark for digital retail in the future.

2016年10月,沃尔玛宣布已战略投资新达达5000万美元,相当于3.36亿元人民币,双方建立全面深度战略合作。双方整合各自在O2O到家服务、物流和零售领域的巨大优势,为中国消费者提供更优质的商品和更便捷的到家服务。

In October 2016, Walmart announced that it had made strategic investment in New Dada by 50 million US dollars equivalent to 336 million yuan. Both sides established comprehensive in-depth strategic cooperation, integrated enormous advantages in O2O delivery service, logistic and retail sector so as to provide Chinese consumers with better quality products and more convenient delivery service.

2016年10月,沃尔玛食品安全协作中心在北京正式启动,中美两国的政府机构代表、商界领袖以及食品安全领域的顶尖学者出席了启动仪式。食品安全协作中心的成立旨在促进食品相关产业链上的企业、组织、科研机构以及相关部门的协作和创新,为食品安全树立最佳实践范例,共同提升中国“从农田到餐桌”的食品全产业链的安全治理能力。

In Oct 2016, Walmart Food Safety Collaboration Center (WFSCC) was officially launched in Beijing. The launch was attended by partners from the Chinese government, business leaders from the U.S. and China as well as leading food safety researchers and scholars. WFSCC was established to promote the collaboration and innovation of enterprises, organizations, scientific and research institutions in food related industry chain, to set food safety best practices and jointly promote China’s capability of governance on whole industry chain of food “from farm to table”.

2016年6月,沃尔玛(纽交所股票代码:WMT)和中国最大的自营电商企业京东(纳斯达克股票代码:JD)宣布达成一系列深度战略合作,通过整合双方在电商和零售领域的巨大优势,为中国消费者提供更优质的商品和服务。作为此次协议的一部分,沃尔玛获得京东新发行的144,952,250股A类普通股,约为京东发行总股本数的5%。同时各方在多个战略领域进行合作。

Walmart (NYSE:WMT), and JD.com (Nasdaq:JD), China’s largest e-commerce company by revenue, announced that they have formed a strategic alliance to better serve consumers across China through a powerful combination of e-commerce and retail. As part of the agreement, Walmart received 144,952,250 newly issued JD.com Class A ordinary shares, amounting to approximately 5 percent of total shares outstanding and the companies partnered in several strategic areas.

2014年12月,沃尔玛建成中国首个覆盖全国的鲜食配送网络。

In December 2014, Walmart completed a country-wide fresh distribution network, the first of its kind in China.

2014年6月沃尔玛中国宣布2013、2014、2015年大幅增加食品安全投入,三年累计投入超3亿元人民币,年度食品安全投入增至近3倍,以进一步保障商场所售产品的安全性。2013年,沃尔玛曾宣布此三年间食品安全投入1亿元,从五大方面保障食品安全工作在全国范围内的高效实施:1) 加强供应链管理;2) 增加供应商培训;3) 提高门店执行标准;4) 建设鲜食配送网络;5) 建立更强大团队。

In June 2014 Walmart China announced that it would triple spending on food safety to more than RMB 300 million over three years (2013, 2014 and 2015). Previously, Walmart China had announced investments of RMB 100 million over three years in further strengthening food safety from 5 aspects including 1) strengthening supply chain management, 2) increasing training for suppliers, 3) raising stores’ implementation standard, 4) establishing a fresh food distribution network, and 5) building a stronger team.

2014年1月,沃尔玛中国宣布升级合规流程。增加流程中的步骤,以进一步确保产品在进店销售之前已获得产品相关证照及其它所需文件。这一过程每年需要搜集、组织、整理和存档超过100万份文件。沃尔玛中国已经投资建立了一个能够使供应商上传所有所需法律文件、由计算机支持的信息系统。该系统从2013年9月开始试运行,现在已经可以广泛应用于整个供应链。

In January 2014 Walmart China announced to implement an enhanced compliance process. Adding further steps to ensure the correct documents and other required items are in place BEFORE the products are sold in our stores. This process requires the collection, organization, filing and retention of well over one million documents annually. Walmart China has now invested in a computer-based system enabling vendors to upload all required legal documents. This system was piloted in September of 2013 and is now ready for broad-based application across the supply chain.

At the end of 2010, Walmart launched the Sam’s Club online shopping services in Shenzhen. Backed-up by physical clubs, Sam’s online shopping services includes general merchandise, fresh items, chilled and frozen food etc., and have already covered all the cities where the physical clubs are located.

2002年,全球采购办公室设立于深圳, 旨在协助沃尔玛全球零售网络进行直接商品采购活动。通过采购低成本但高质量的商品,全球采购办公室团队与沃尔玛位于全世界的各业务部门紧密合作,致力于履行 “为顾客省钱,从而让他们生活得更好” 的这一企业重要使命。

In 2002 Walmart established its Global Sourcing office in Shenzhen as a successful initiative to facilitate the direct purchase of merchandise for all Walmart retail operations. Walmart Global Sourcing strives to create value by sourcing low cost but high quality merchandises. The Walmart store floor area is around ten thousand square meters, and offers more than ten thousand kinds of fresh food, clothes, household appliances, grocery etc. The Walmart store provides omni-channel shopping experiences for our customers. Meanwhile, Walmart store attracts customers for the neighboring small retailers and restaurants.

Sam’s Club is a chain of high end membership-only clubs under Walmart Family, which is the Top 500 global company—Walmart Inc., named by the retail giant Mr. Sam Walton, founder of Walmart. Since the first Sam’s Club opened in Midwest City in Oklahoma State in April of 1983, Sam’s Club has a history over 30 years. At the beginning of 90’s, Sam’s Club starts to enter international market and has become one of the largest membership clubs around the world. At the present, Sam’s Club has developed 800 chain clubs globally and provides superior service to over 50 million individual members and business members. The first Sam’s Club in China was opened in Shenzhen on August 12, 1996. So far, Sam’s Club has developed a total of 32 clubs covering 23 cities in China which are located in Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen, Guangzhou, Fuzhou, Dalian, Hangzhou, Suzhou, Wuhan, Changzhou, Zhuhai, Tianjin, Xiamen, Nanjing, Changsha, Nanchang , Chengdu, Shenyang, Nantong, Ningbo, Kunshan, Chongqing and Huizhou. A Sam’s Club has an average shopping area of 20000 square meters and offers bulk groceries and general merchandise. To satisfy members’ needs for higher quality, Sam’s Club only provides either the best quality item in the category or the best-selling brand. The Club offers over 4000 high quality-to-price ratio items, including categories such as fresh, groceries, household appliances, home, apparel and etc. The Club saves members from the trouble of item comparison, which also saves their time and money. The items sold at Sam’s Club usually come in large and simple composite packages, lowering the costs through purchasing in large quantities. Sam’s Club emphasizes on accessibility of the location. The clubs usually provide around 1500 parking spaces for its members.

In 2016, Walmart started cooperation with JD.com, opened a number of official flagship stores on JD.com, including the Walmart Flagship Store, the Walmart Global Shop Flagship Store, the Sam’s Club Flagship Store and the Sam’s Club Global Shop Flagship Store, and also initiated the “Three Integration” strategy of interconnection among stores, users and inventory.

Walmart invested USD 50 million in Dada-JDDJ in October 2016, and another USD 320 million in August 2018 to further enhance Walmart’s omni-channel services in China. The cooperation with Dada-JDDJ solved the problem of “last kilometer delivery” in retail services, improved the O2O capabilities of Walmart stores, and jointly implemented the industry’s first store depot enabling integrated storage and delivery.

In June 2018, Walmart China and Tencent jointly announced an in-depth strategic partnership, through which the two companies fully leveraged the advantages in their respective operations to have an in-depth cooperation in digitization and smart retail focusing on areas like shopping experience enhancement, targeted marketing, comprehensive payment services and strong membership value-added services, jointly explored and developed upgraded full-scenario applications, and created a blueprint and industry benchmark for the future digital retail.

作为实体门店的延伸,2016年沃尔玛门店上线京东到家平台,2020年8月,沃尔玛全国门店100%实现实体门店在线化,全面接入京东到家以及沃尔玛到家平台,为门店周边3-5公里范围内的顾客提供1小时新鲜到家的“极速达”服务。

As an extension of brick-and-mortar stores, Walmart launched JDDJ in 2016. In August 2020, every single one of our 400+ stores in China is able to offer one-hour delivery services for customers within 3-5 kilometers through connecting to JDDJ and WMDJ.

为了满足顾客对线上一站式购物的需求,以及进一步扩大门店的O2O覆盖范围,“沃尔玛到家”推出海量商品次日达 “全城配”服务,将送货到家商品种类扩展到更多商品种类,消费者可享受沃尔玛大卖场万余种商品的送达服务。截止2021年4月底“全城配”已成功覆盖了135个城市,预计在2021年1月底将覆盖到全部有沃尔玛门店的城市。

In order to meet the needs of customers for online one-stop shopping, and further expand the O2O delivery services, WMDJ launched the full assortment “whole city” delivery services covering the entire city. With the next-day delivery services, customers may enjoy more than 10,000 items in Walmart stores. As of the end of April 2021, the “next-day” delivery services had successfully covered 135 cities, and are expected to be expanded to all cities with Walmart stores across China by the end of January 2021.

2020年2月, “沃尔玛到家”服务升级迭代,推出到店自提服务。截至当年10月底,已在全国370多家门店开通。每天早9点至下午3点期间在“沃尔玛到家”下单时,顾客可在最快1小时内小时内前往就近的沃尔玛门店提取商品。

In February 2020, WMDJ launched customer self pickup service and over 370 Walmart stores nationwide offered store pickup service by October 2020. From 9AM to 3PM every day, customers may place orders online and pick up within 1 hour at fastest in store for free.

全品类拣货区位于沃尔玛门店后区,占地面积300 – 600平米。该区域集中陈列线上全品类商品,在拣货区可一站式完成线上订单接收、拣货、打包、交接的全部流程。科技赋能门店,持续优化履约链路,骑手扫码到店,自主取货,星级拣货员,智能选品出入仓等功能快速迭代,协同超300家门店全品类拣货区的推行,门店拣货效率提升超60%,峰值订单处理能力得到了极大的提升。

The full assortment pick-up zones located in the back areas of Walmart stores cover an area of 300-600 square meters. In the pick-up zones with most of assortments available, the entire process including online order receiving, item picking, packaging, and dispatching can be finished at one stop. The store is enabled with technology, and continuously optimizes the order fulfillment process. With the quick iteration of functions like rider code scanning at stores, self-pickup, star pickers and intelligent item selection and warehousing implemented by the full assortment pick-up zones in more than 300 stores, the picking processing capability has been improved by over 60%, and the order processing capability at peak hours have also been greatly improved.

Sam’s Club proactively develops its e-commerce operations through clearly divided and perfectly complementary business units.

During the omni-channel 88 Shopping Festival in 2020, Walmart’s overall O2O business including JDDJ and WMDJ achieved double-digit sales growth year-on-year, and the average number of O2O orders per store in China exceeded 1,000 on August 8. Specifically, WMDJ has recorded an exceptional sales growth of 1.5 times that of 2019 since the 88 Shopping Festival was kicked off on July 16. As of August 2020, all Walmart stores nationwide have launched one-hour delivery service to a radius of 3-5 kilometers around the stores. In 2020, Walmart large-scale rolled out the full assortment ‘whole-city’ delivery service on WMDJ, which has covered 83 cities around China during the 88 Shopping Festival. In addition, the GMV of Walmart flagship store on JD.com grew by over 180% year-on-year on the first day of the 88 Shopping Festival. Quality items at favorable prices and continuously growing orders have brought cumulatively more than 15 million followers to the multiple Walmart flagship stores on JD.com.

Walmart’s services provided to the sellers cover overseas site set-up, online operations, logistics and payment solutions, digital marketing and after-sales service, so that they can directly sell products around the world and bring consumers abundance of goods and convenient e-commerce.

2020年2月,面对新冠病毒疫情爆发,“沃尔玛到家”服务升级迭代,在全国300多家门店上线到店自提服务。每天9点至下午3点期间在“沃尔玛到家”下单时,顾客可在三小时内前往就近的沃尔玛门店提取商品。同时,在门店实行特殊时期“全员拣货“以及“共同用工“,将”到家“与”到店“深度结合,从而满足因疫情而爆发的”宅需求“。疫情期间,沃尔玛全国O2O “到家”业绩暴增,春节销售额同比去年增长超过4倍。 “ 沃尔玛到家”渠道增长尤为迅猛,订单量同比增长高达15倍。(*以上春节期间同比时间特指:2020.1.24至1.31对比 2019.2.5至2.11)。顾客对生鲜食品类需求也表现旺盛,春节后第一周对比春节前一周* “沃尔玛到家”鲜食订单量增长突破120% (*春节后第一周2020.1.31至2.6日对比春节前一周(2020.1.17至1.23)。此外,沃尔玛到家在武汉率先推行“社区到家”。在线上,平台定位居民社区,集中管理顾客订单;线下履约改为拣货后批量派单,以社区为单位安排货车集中配送,直达社区,从而大大提高了“到家”业务的效能。同时,山姆会员商店也在北京、武汉、苏州和深圳试点“社区到家”和无接触配送服务。

In February 2020, facing the COVID-19 outbreak, WMDJ upgraded with free store pickup in over 300 Walmart stores nationwide, From 9AM to 3PM every day, customers might place orders online and pick up within 3 hours in store for free. Besides, Walmart associates fully supported e-commerce business and leveraged shared staff to meet the surging online demand. During the pandemic, WMDJ and JDDJ experienced rapid growth. Sales value grew over four times in the Chinese New Year 2020 compared with that in the CNY last year (Jan.24-31, 2020 versus Feb.5-11, 2019), among which, WMDJ experienced a growth in sales of 15 times. Customers also showed great demand of fresh items. WMDJ orders with fresh items grew by over 120% in Jan.31 to Feb.6 compared with Jan.17 to Jan.23 in 2020. At the same time WMDJ community selling model launched in Wuhan. The platform receives and manages orders based on residential communities, and the orders are delivered by goods van in batches directly to the community, thus greatly improved the capacities of WMDJ delivery. Meanwhile, Sam’s Club trailed community selling and contactless delivery services in Beijing, Wuhan, Suzhou and Shenzhen.

2019年10月,沃尔玛全球购官方旗舰店迎来入驻京东平台三周年庆。经过三年的发展,沃尔玛全球购店铺服务访客已超过6000万人次,同时实现订单量及销售额连续三年高速增长,其中销售额2019年对比开店当年增长高达350%。

In October 2019, Walmart Global Shop Flagship Store celebrated its third anniversary since its launch on JD.com. After three years of development, the number of store visits has exceeded 60 million, and the number of orders and sales have been growing rapidly for three consecutive years. This year’s sales have increased by 350% compared with that in its opening year.

2019年8月16日,沃尔玛和京东超市公布,双方联合140多品牌商家共同打造的线上线下联动的大型促销活动“8.8购物节”再创佳绩。自7月18日购物节启动截至8月14日,参与“8.8购物节”的品牌商家整体对比去年同期参与的品牌商家,全渠道销售规模增长超过50%,绝大部分增长来自于电商。8.8购物节期间,通过小程序使用“沃尔玛到家” O2O服务的日活用户增长50%, O2O订单量对比之前最高日增长超过150%。沃尔玛小程序的用户增速和数量持续保持零售商超行业第一。

Walmart China and JD Super announced on August 16 that the “8.8 Shopping Festival”, a joint integrated online and offline promotional event collaborating with around 140 suppliers scored a new success this year. From the kick-off of the event on July 18 to August 14, the omni-channel sales scale of the participating suppliers grew by more than 50% compared with the number last year. Most of the growth was driven by e-commerce. During the “8.8 Shopping Festival”, the number of daily active users on the new WM Daojia O2O services grew by 50%, and its number of O2O orders was up by more than 150% from the peak day of last year. In terms of growth rate and user number, the Walmart Mini Program continues to claim the top spot in the retail industry.

In May 2019, Walmart’s mini program Walmart Daojia, was officially launched nationwide, which was a big step forward in the development of its Online-to-Offline and omni-channel retail. Customers can place orders online with this mini program and enjoy one-hour Instant delivery, store pickup and whole-city delivery service. Walmart Daojia provides customers with over 10,000 SKUs with assortments including fresh, mom & baby and dry grocery.

2018年12月,沃尔玛礼品卡全渠道升级,接入沃尔玛在京东的官方旗舰店以及在京东到家平台的支付体系,从而实现一张礼品卡线上线下支付打通。顾客只要在沃尔玛购物,无论是在全国沃尔玛实体门店,还是在沃尔玛特定的线上渠道,均可一卡通行。全渠道礼品卡在线使用渗透率目前(2020年10月)已经超过50%。

Walmart gift card completed omni-channel upgrading in December 2018. Walmart gift card is available in Walmart flagship store on JD.com and JD Daojia platform which realized the online and offline payment integration. Customers are able to use Walmart gift card in stores across the country and designated online channels. Online penetration of the omni-channel gift card is now over 50% (October 2020).

2018年10月底,沃尔玛、京东、京东到家、腾讯在北京首次联合发布《中国零售商超全渠道融合发展年度报告》(以下简称《报告》),分享四家标杆性企业在促进全渠道融合过程中的行业洞察。报告指出,在零售模式多元化且快速迭代的背景下,随着线上线下消费边界逐渐模糊,消费者更加享受便捷、追求品质生活以及个性订制化的服务。强强合作与互通形成全渠道融合模式,逐步打破线上线下边界、客群边界、供应链边界、时效边界、平台边界和地域边界,让顾客能够真正随时随地、随心所购。

Walmart joined with JD, JD Daojia, Tencent to release the 2018 China Retail Omni-channel Integration and Development Report in Beijing, which shared the insight of the process of omni-channel integration among the four benchmark enterprises. The report pointed out that consumers enjoy convenient and quality life and customized service as online and offline consumption border gradually blurred given the retail mode becomes diversified and rapid iterating. The omni-channel mode formed by cooperation and integration gradually breaks down boundaries between online and offline, customer groups, supply chain, efficiency, platforms and regions, enabling customers to shop anytime and anywhere in any way they like.

2018年7月,沃尔玛和京东宣布双方联合各大合作伙伴共同打造第二届 “8.8购物节”。沃尔玛和京东在2017年开展的用户、门店和库存互通的基础上强化合作,推出“三通2.0”战略。2018年8月,沃尔玛和京东公布 “8.8购物节”再创销售业绩新高。自7月19日启动之日起至8月10日,参与8.8购物节全渠道商品销售总额对比去年增长已超10倍, 参与的大部分品牌对比去年同期取得双位数的销售增长。8月8日当天,线上平台销售额创历史新高,沃尔玛官方旗舰店和沃尔玛全球购官方旗舰店对比之前最高日销售额增长超过800%。沃尔玛京东到家平台当天开场仅1小时14 分钟订单量即超过去年8月8日全天订单量,当天销售额对比去年同一天增长500%。

Walmart and JD announced in July 2018 that they joined with major suppliers to launch the Second 8.8 Shopping Festival, a grand online and offline promotion event. Walmart and JD also launched the Three Integration 2.0 Strategy which further upgrades integration of customers, stores and order routing based upon cooperation of the previous year. Walmart and JD announced in August 2018 that the 8.8 Shopping Festival has created new sales performance records. Since launched on July 19 till August 10, scale of omni-channel sales of 8.8 Shopping Festival has so far reached 10 times of that of last year, and major brands that joined the event achieved double digit sales growth compared with same period of last year. The total sales of Walmart Flagship Store and Walmart Global Shop Flagship Store on JD platform on August 8 increased by over 800% compared with the highest daily sales record. Nationwide Walmart orders on JDDJ surpassed total orders on the day of August 8 last year within only 1 hour and 14 minutes since the event was kicked off, and the sales on August 8 increased by 500% compared with the same day of last year.

2017年12月,山姆会员商店自营电商平台在深圳开通了一小时送达的‘极速达’服务,提供约1000款高频次购买和高渗透率的商品,涵盖生鲜、母婴、个护、干货等日常商品,以及网红爆款休闲零食类商品。山姆在2018年4月上线深圳及上海京东到家平台,双方充分发挥山姆的高品质商品和品牌效益、以及京东到家的高效线上运营和物流能力,满足市场对高端商品,尤其是高品质生鲜一小时送达的需求。山姆已在所有有山姆门店的城市开通了一小时送达的服务。

Sam’s Club launched one-hour delivery service on its own EC platforms in Shenzhen in December 2017, offering 1,000 products with high frequency purchase and high market penetration rate, covering fresh, mother and baby products, personal care, dried food, as well as popular online leisure snacks. The service was later available on JD Daojia in Shenzhen and Shanghai in April 2018. Leveraging Sam’s high-quality products and brand effect as well as JD Daojia’s high efficient online operation and logistic capabilities, one-hour delivery service is able to to meet the demand of high-end products especially the demand of one-hour delivery of quality fresh. Sam’s Club one-hour delivery service is now available in all cities where the clubs operate.

2017年10月,沃尔玛全球购官方旗舰店入驻京东以及沃尔玛入驻京东到家迎来一周年。经过一年的发展,沃尔玛全球购官方旗舰店已经成长为京东海外购平台上品类最齐全的商超店铺,沃尔玛全球购官方旗舰店目前提供商品10万多种。同时,沃尔玛是京东到家平台上增长速度最快的商家之一。

Walmart Global Shop Flagship Store is celebrating its first anniversary on JD in October 2017 and so is Walmart’s cooperation with JD Daojia. Sam’s Club has seen its e-commerce sales increase threefold in China since launching its flagship store on JD.com one year ago. Walmart and JD jointly announced the launch of the first large-scale online/offline promotional campaign “8.8 Shopping Festival” on July 25, 2017. At the same time, JD and Walmart announced that they would continue to mutually share resources of customers, stores and inventory to achieve deeper integration of online platforms and offline stores, adapting to the new trends of retail transformation. The two sides continued to work together on marketing, service and supply chain during the 8.8 Shopping Festival to convert customer groups of both companies through co-marketing, create online/offline integration by accessing stores with online platforms, share inventory in pilot areas as a pioneer approach, and achieve deeper integration of supply chain and backend technology. Within 24 hours of August 8, sales of Walmart Flagship Store and Walmart Global Shop Flagship Store saw a new record high, with a growth of more than 13 times compared with previous peak day sales. Meanwhile, Walmart’s orders on JD Daojia saw an increase of over 200% compared with July’s average daily orders. JD and Walmart announced to progressively integrate customers, stores and inventory to achieve in-depth integration of online platforms and offline stores so as to adapt to the new trends of retail transformation.

屋顶太阳能光伏发电项目,目前沃尔玛已建成和在建的屋顶太阳能光伏发电项目列举如下:

Rooftop Solar Photovoltaic System, built and currently under construction programs as below:

2018年11月,上海浦东山姆会员商店屋顶光伏项目开始施工建设,2018年12月并网发电。该项目装机容量为449.57千瓦,采用目前市场最先进的技术之一——N型单晶双面双玻高效组件,组件的正反面均可发电,充分利用屋顶面积,得以最大限度发电。至今累计发电量达813,790千瓦时,约满足门店日常用电量的5%,减少二氧化碳排放811.31吨,相当于等效植树近4.43万棵。

November 2018, the installation of Rooftop Solar Photovoltaic System kicked off at Shanghai Pudong Sam’s Club and power generation started in December 2018. The system capacity is 449.57 kW, with the most advanced technology in place- high efficiency N type double sided double glass module. Both the front and back sides of the module can generate power, the roof-top area was utilized fully to maximize the power generation. Up to now, the system has generated accumulated power of 813,790 kWh, which can meet approx. 5% of the daily electricity consumption of the club, and reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 811.31 tons, equivalent to planting of nearly 44,300 trees.

2019, Walmart Shanghai Nanpu Bridge Store implemented Rooftop Solar Photovoltaic System with power generation started in November, with capacity of 240 kW. The estimated yearly power generation could reach 262,437 kWh, which can meet approx. 9% of the daily electricity consumption of the store.

2021年,沃尔玛将在大连香炉礁山姆会员商店实施屋顶太阳能光伏发电项目,装机容量为1000千瓦,预计年发电量可达1,258,000千瓦时,约满足门店日常用电量的13%。

2021, Rooftop Solar Photovoltaic System to be implemented in Dalian Xianglujiao Sam’s Club, with capacity of 1000 kW, the estimated yearly power generation is 1,258,000 kWh, which can meet approx. 13% of the daily electricity consumption of the club.

门店制冷系统创新升级,沃尔玛在新建冷冻项目时,考虑了节能减排的因素,增加了一部分新的节能措施或设备,例如:

Innovation and Upgrade of Refrigeration System, Walmart take energy conservation and emission reduction into consideration on new refrigeration project, some measures or devices listed below,

玻璃门防凝露:采用温湿度探头控制,随环境湿度变化,及时开启和关闭玻璃门加热膜,可实现能耗节约40%,投资回报率1.2年。以单店为例,该控制每天可以节约能耗95 千瓦时,每年能耗可节约34,675 千瓦时。目前沃尔玛约有170家门店和25家山姆后补式冷库采用此种控制模式。

Glass door anti-condensation: a probe is in place to control the temperature and humidity through activation/deactivation of the glass door heating film, which could save up to 40% of the energy with ROI of 1.2 years. Taking a single store as an example, this control can save 95 kWh per day, and 34,675 kWh each year. Currently, Walmart has around 170 stores and 25 clubs POS (pointers cell freezer) utilizing this control mode.

Refrigerator wasted heat recovery system: except winter, the system temperature could reach 40℃, which can meet the store daily hot water usage need. With one 45kW water heater equipped at a store currently, and expected to work for 4 hours a day, the annual effective saving rate could reach 60%, with an estimation of 39,420 kWh energy saving annually. Walmart currently has 140 stores with this system in place.

Walmart engaged in the “Sustainable Store” program which was initiated by the Chinese government. During the year of 2018 and 2019, Walmart had 7 stores in Shenzhen, Chongqing, Changchun, Beijing, Shanghai, Tianjin, were granted with “Nationwide Sustainable Store” by the Ministry of Commerce. The stores illustrated effort in excellent store management, equipment and facility, sustainable supply chain, sustainable service, sustainable consumption promotion, resource recycle and environmental protection.

绿色供应链重点项目Signature sustainable supply chain programs

10亿吨减排项目 Project Gigaton

2018年3月29日,沃尔玛总裁兼首席执行官董明伦宣布“10亿吨减排项目”在中国正式启动,具体目标为:到2030年前,将沃尔玛中国业务价值链中产生的温室气体排放减少五千万公吨(包括沃尔玛全球采购办公室和沃尔玛中国的供应商),相当于四千万户中国家庭年均用电所产生的排放。

On March 29, 2018, Doug McMillon, Walmart President and CEO announced launching “Project Gigaton” in China, specific goals as: to reduce greenhouse gas emissions in its China value chain by 50 million metric tons (MMT) by 2030 (including Walmart Global Sourcing office and Walmart China supplier), equivalent to the emissions associated with the average annual electricity consumption of 40 million Chinese households.

截至2019年4月18日, 沃尔玛中国的供应商已在中国业务价值链中减少温室气体排放 346 万公吨 (MMT) ,相当于300万户中国家庭年均用电所产生的排放。

As of April 18, 2019, Walmart China suppliers have achieved reduction of 3.46 million metric tons (MMT) greenhouse gas emissions in China’s value chain, equivalent to the emissions associated with the average annual electricity consumption of 3 million Chinese households.

加大对可持续商品的采购 Scale up Sustainable Merchandising

在沃尔玛门店,顾客用手机扫描带有MSC蓝色标签的阿拉斯加狭鳕鱼柳、挪威北极鳕鱼扒、阿拉斯加黑鳕鱼扒等海产品上的二维码,即可在MSC网站了解到该产品出自哪个可持续野生捕捞渔场。截至2020年8月,沃尔玛门店的自有品牌“惠宜”已在针对抽肠红虾仁、抽肠青虾仁、进口冻巴沙鱼、进口冻虾等多个品类加大了对可持续水产品的采购,惠宜旗下水产品获得“最佳水产养殖规范”认证 (BAP, Best Aquaculture Practices) 的占比已达67%左右。

At Walmart stores, customers may scan the QR code on the packaging of the blue MSC label certified sustainable seafood, including Alaska cod fish fillet and Norway Arctic cod fish fillet, information will be available on the origin of the seafood, i.e. from which sustainable marine or freshwater. As of August 2020, around 67% of private brand “Great Value” products at Walmart stores were certified Best Aquaculture Practices (BAP), including shrimp and fish, a big step that Walmart takes to scale up the merchandising of sustainable aquatic product.

Sam’s Club has always supported Marine Stewardship Council (MSC) certified sustainable seafood and Best Aquaculture Practices (BAP). 2017, Sam’s Club was the first retailer piloting MSC certified sustainable seafood traceability system in China; 2018, launched its sustainable seafood strategy; 2019, extended the focus from sustainable seafood to the impact that plastic has on the ocean, and continued scaling up the merchandising of sustainable seafood. By the end of 2020, approx. 50% of Sam’s Club private brand “Member’s Mark” frozen seafood products were MSC and BAP certified.

沃尔玛食品安全协作中心 Walmart Food Safety Collaboration Center

Launched in October 2016, the Walmart Food Safety Collaboration Center (WFSCC) is a new initiative dedicated to addressing food safety in China. The WFSCC aims to build a professional platform that promotes relevant parties to work together in solving systemic problems in food safety. It promotes continuous improvements to China’s food safety standards by actively establishing cooperation with universities, industry associations, enterprises, and government. It also collaborates with leading experts and industry stakeholders at home and abroad. The WFSCC focuses on three key areas: food safety innovation, education, and policy support. The WFSCC conducts collaborative research on critical issues in the supply chain, and shares the information broadly among the food safety industry in China.

自2011年起支持中国扶贫基金会的“爱加餐”项目, 并于2015年将双方合作模式升级,共同发起“你‘沃’一起,为爱加餐”活动,携手顾客、供应商和员工共同参与。 至今, 所捐善款累计超1600万元,覆盖四川、云南、广西、贵州、河北、河南、湖北、 湖南、重庆9省(自治区或直辖市)的贫困地区,受益儿童约4.5万人次,提供了近324万份营养加餐,并为66所小学配备爱心厨房设备, 并开展了营养知识宣教。

Since 2011, Walmart China supported the Nutritious Meal program, which was initiated by China Foundation for Poverty Alleviation (CFPA). In 2015, Walmart China and CFPA upgraded the cooperation mode, and initiated “Together, Let Us Donate to the Nutritious Meal Program!”, has been in collaboration with customers, suppliers and associates, accumulated donation has exceeded 16 million RMB. The program covered poverty stricken areas in Sichuan, Yunnan, Guangxi, Guizhou, Hebei, Henan, Hubei, Hunan and Chongqing, 9 provinces (autonomous regions or municipalities), benefiting 45,000 kids with approx. 3.24 million portions of nutritious meals, equipping 66 schools with kitchen facilities, and carrying out nutrition knowledge education.

2020年3月22日为“世界水日”,沃尔玛中国支持壹基金“净水计划”, 捐赠10万元人民币,为学生提供安全的饮用水,帮助他们养成健康的卫生习惯。

2010年起沃尔玛中国支持中国妇女发展基金会“母亲创业循环金”项目, 以“小额借款,循环使用”的方式, 助力贫困地区女性创业就业, 切实改善贫困妇女生活状况。 并于2017年, 双方在循环金项目基础上转型升级为“@她创业计划”, 通过融入互联网思维, 联合多方力量, 带动更多女性创就业。 项目先后在陕西、河北、湖南、云南、内蒙古、天津、湖北、福建、四川、黑龙江、重庆11个省(区、市)执行。母亲创业循环金项目和培训项目的受益人数达100,000。

2010, Walmart China donated to China Women’s Development Foundation (CWDF), to support women in poverty-stricken area to become entrepreneurs and be employed, through its “Revolving Loans for Mothers” program. The program runs in the mode of “micro loan, circulated fund”. In 2017, Walmart China and CWDF upgraded the program to “She Entrepreneurship”, with the introduction of internet mindset and stakeholders’ engagement, to drive more women achieving economic empowerment. The program has been implemented in 11 provinces (districts or cities) along the path, including Shaanxi, Hebei, Hunan, Yunnan, Inner Mongolia, Tianjin, Hubei, Fujian, Sichuan, Heilongjiang, Chongqing. The “Revolving Loans for Mothers” program and the training provided covered 100,000 beneficiaries.

By August 2020, Walmart China has made monetary donation of 12.34 million RMB and 220,000 RMB worth of disaster relief supplies donation to China Women’s Development Foundation.

2021今年4月,,“大梦想家”邀请18名“心青年”,为每位青年提供岗位实习5天,每天3小时,共计270小时的实习机会。并发动沃尔玛员工约40余人担任“大梦想家”活动志愿者。

这一活动,源于沃尔玛中国、深圳壹基金公益基金会和守望心智障碍者家长组织升级关爱自闭症项目模式,将以往半天的“沃爱下午茶”工作体验活动,升级成为期一周的5天的岗位实习,为支持心智障碍人士公开就业做探索与努力。在志愿者的陪伴和指导下,实实在在地在门店工作一周,深入了解零售工作岗位的要求、学习相关的工作技能。

与在世界其它地方一样,沃尔玛中国始终坚持“服务顾客、尊重个人、追求卓越、诚信行事”的四大核心价值观及行为,专注于开好每一家店,服务好每一位顾客,履行公司的核心使命,以不断地为顾客、会员和员工创造非凡。

2021 April, 18 youth with autism spectrum disordered have been invited to “Dream Achiever” to kick off their career dreams. The youth participated 3 hours per day, 5 days internship at our store, total 270 internship hours. Over 40 Walmart associates joined “Dream Achiever” as volunteers to support the youth on the job.

This program is initiated and upgraded by Walmart China and One Foundation, from previous “Wal-love afternoon tea” program of half day work tasting to a 5-days program, support the career development for the youth with autism spectrum disordered. With the accompany of Walmart volunteers, the youth had the opportunities to work for a whole week, to learn about retail positions and acquire relevant skills.

2019年, 沃尔玛中国和深圳壹基金公益基金会共同发起公益行动品牌- “沃爱下午茶”,帮助心智障碍青年(心青年)进行就业实践。从2019年7月开始,在深圳、北京、上海及成都四个城市举办“沃爱下午茶”志愿者活动。沃尔玛员工成为支持者和参与者, 为心青年提供工作技能培训, 陪伴心青年工作, 与心青年家庭一起助力自闭症青年融入社会。

On March 12, 2020, in response to the public health crisis caused by COVID-19 in Wuhan and across Hubei province, Walmart and Walmart Foundation committed more than $1.5 million USD (approx. 10.44 million RMB) to support relief efforts.

2019年6月20日, 沃尔玛中国紧急捐赠约50万元,通过壹基金为受灾群众提供急需的米、面、粮油等生活必需品,用于四川地震和南方洪灾的救援。

On June 20, 2019, Walmart China donated 500,000 RMB to provide daily necessities like rice, flour and oil through One Foundation, to support disaster relief for Sichuan earthquake and floods in South China.

2017年8月11日,沃尔玛中国宣布紧急从绵阳5家沃尔玛门店调集价值约50万元的救灾物资,通过四川省扶贫基金会捐赠给地震受灾群众。

On August 11, 2017, Walmart China donated daily necessities worth of 500,000 RMB to support people impacted by the earthquake in Sichuan through the Sichuan Province Poverty Alleviation Foundation.

2016年入汛以来中国已有26个省份、上千个县遭受了洪涝灾害,沃尔玛一直高度关注并积极参与救灾:6月,沃尔玛24小时之内紧急调配300套应急生活包支援江苏盐城风灾;7月,沃尔玛积极响应壹基金的救灾采购需求,快速提供了价值470万余的应急物资;8月,沃尔玛基金会向壹基金捐赠200万元用于洪涝灾害的地区的救灾及灾后重建。

2016 summer, 26 provinces and thousands of counties were severely hit by storm and flood in China. Walmart has been highly involved in disaster relief. In June, Walmart prepared 300 sets of emergency life-kits to Jiangsu Yancheng within 24 hours which was hit by tornado; in July, Walmart quickly responded with 4.7 million RMB worth of disaster relief supplies; in August, Walmart Foundation donated 2 million RMB to One Foundation for disaster relief and post-disaster reconstruction for flood stricken areas.

2016年5月12日,值此第八个“全国防灾减灾日”,沃尔玛向中国扶贫基金会捐赠了价值780万元的鞋帽、衣物等备灾物资,用于扩充基金会备灾库的物资储备,以便于灾害发生时提供紧急救援。

2015年8月,天津塘沽爆炸发生后,沃尔玛第一时间联系其天津门店确认员工安全,同时与门店一起向政府捐血点免费发放矿泉水、扇子等物资,以鼓励并感谢前来捐血的市民。同时将2000个地垫、口罩和5000份妇女儿童卫生用品,直接送到天津事故地区。

In August 2015, Walmart reached out to Tianjin store associates to confirm their safety immediately after the Tianjin Tang’gu explosion. At the same time, collaborated with store and sent bottled water, fans and other supplies to encourage and thank blood donors. Walmart also sent 2000 floor mats, 2000 masks and 5000 hygiene products for women and children in the impacted area.

2015年4月17日,在雅安地震两周年来临之际,由沃尔玛中国携手中国扶贫基金会援建的“沃尔玛社区活动中心”主体结构竣工仪式在四川省雅安市天全县新华永安村举行。

On April 17, 2015, as the second anniversary of the Ya’an Earthquake approached, Walmart China collaborated with the CFPA launched the completion ceremony of the “Walmart Community Center” construction in Ya’an.

2014年8月, 沃尔玛中国紧急调拨了价值近50万元的救灾物资,向8月3日遭受地震的云南省昭通市鲁甸县进行捐赠。根据救灾物资的需求状况,沃尔玛第一时间与壹基金联合启动灾难响应机制,通过云南17家门店紧急调集了总计45吨的大米和食用油,并及时调拨了炒锅等应急物资,为受灾最严重的鲁甸县提供了及时的救援。这一行动距离地震发生不到48小时。

In August 2014, Walmart China donated 500,000 RMB worth of disaster relief supplies to support the Yunnan Zhaotong earthquake happened on August 3. Walmart responded and provided immediate support within 48 hours, and donated 45 tons rice and oil etc. supplies through 17 Yunnan stores.

2014年7月, 沃尔玛中国紧急调集价值40余万元的救灾物资,与壹基金联合启动响应机制,在第一时间向海南和广西受到超强台风“威马逊” 重创的钦州地区进行捐助,调拨了数量可观的大米、食用油、蚊帐、花露水、硫磺皂、洗衣粉等应急物资。此次的援助行动中,沃尔玛利用广西钦州门店集中物资,对于钦州受灾严重的地区提供了及时的救援。而在威马逊台风受灾最为严重的海南省,目前还没有沃尔玛门店。因此,沃尔玛安排距离灾区最近的深圳配送中心、深圳沃尔玛购物广场参与救灾物资的调集工作。

In July 2014, Walmart China donated around 400,000 RMB worth of disaster relief supplies through One Foundation, to support Hainan and Guangxi area which were hit by Super Typhoon “Rammasun”, including rice, oil and washing powder etc. emergency supplies. Walmart collaborated with Guangxi Qinzhou stores to provide the timely support. Hainan as the severely hit province with no Walmart stores around, Walmart Shenzhen distribution center and stores joined the supplies support.

On July 22, 2013, Walmart China donated to Gansu Dingxi earthquake through CWDF with 150,000 RMB worth of emergency disaster relief supplies.

2013年4月, 沃尔玛中国在四川雅安4.20大地震后迅速行动起来,第一时间配合当地政府筹备物资。截至21日凌晨4点,沃尔玛员工已将超过38万元的矿泉水、方便面、饼干、雨衣、帐篷、消毒水等方便食品及生活必需品由员工志愿者连夜运往灾区。并在灾后第一时间快速筹集资金,通过中国扶贫基金会向地震灾区捐赠150万元现金和50万元物资,共计200万元作为首批赈灾款捐助雅安芦山地震灾区。

In April 2013, Walmart China acted promptly after the 4.20 Sichuan Ya’an earthquake, coordinated with the local government in the disaster relief supplies. As of 4 am on April 21, Walmart associates sent bottled water, instant noodles, biscuits, raincoats etc. daily necessities worth over 380,000 RMB to disaster area overnight. Also, raised fund and donated 1.5 million RMB and 500,000 RMB worth of supplies through CFPA, total 2 million RMB as the first batch of relief fund.

2010年4月20日,沃尔玛基金会向世界宣明会(World Vision Foundation)捐赠150,000美元以援助青海地震灾区的公益项目;与此同时,沃尔玛中国及其工会,以及沃尔玛全球采购中心在中国的分支机构,向4月14日遭受强烈地震灾害的青海玉树县捐赠525,000元人民币现金和物资。沃尔玛总计为青海地震灾区捐赠救援现金和物资共计155万元人民币。

On April 20, 2010, Walmart Foundation made a donation of 150,000 USD to World Vision Foundation to support the disaster relief of Qinghai earthquake; at the same time, Walmart China and its union, Walmart Global Souring China office, made a monetary and supplies donation of 525,000 RMB to Qinghai Yushu which was hit severely by the earthquake. Walmart as a whole donated total 1.55 million RMB to the impacted area.

2008年10月26日,沃尔玛向四川卫生厅捐赠价值超过250万元人民币的20台救护车及配套急救设备,用于帮助汶川地震灾区及支援灾区的医疗机构恢复医疗急救服务,为灾区受难群众提供急需的急救医疗。此次捐赠是沃尔玛为灾区重建所提供的2000万元人民币资金的一部分,这是继沃尔玛6月27日向地震灾区捐赠价值500万元的50个乡村医疗诊所的支持灾区医疗卫生重建的第二个项目。

On October 26, 2008, Walmart donated 20 ambulances and related first aid equipment worth over 2.5 million RMB to Sichuan health department, to support Wenchuan disaster area and the recovery of emergency service of the medical facilities. This donation is part of the 20 million RMB Walmart donation to support reconstruction of the disaster area, and as the second program supporting the re-establishment of the local health system. The first program took place on June 27, 50 rural medical clinics worth 5 million RMB.

On May 14, 2008, Walmart made monetary and supplies donation worth over 3 million RMB, to support the Wenchuan earthquake. Part of the donation was donated to Red Cross Society of China to procure disaster relief supplies, the rest of the donation was used to support the reconstruction.
